"Once upon a time - for that is how all stories should begin - there was a boy who lost his mother..."

Mes Amis

I'm a big fan of John Connolly's work, both the Parker novels and his stand alone work, so its fantastic to hear that his Book of Lost Things - a "fairy tale for grown ups" - has been optioned for film, while screenplays are in development for the incredible Bad Men and the short story (which, admittedly, I haven't read) "The New Daughter".

If they get "Lost Things" right, it could be an incredible movie.

And Bad Men... well, it was my introduction to Connolly and remains one of my favourite of his novels. So they'd better get it right.

Au revoir
